1. Fault phenomenon

① First of all, check whether the circuit connection is in good condition, and carefully check whether the socket and plug have the phenomenon of "sparking" and arcing, and whether there is line damage and disconnection.

② Check whether the charger is damaged and whether the charging parameters meet the requirements: the initial charging current reaches 1.6-2.5a/piece; the maximum charging voltage reaches 14.8-14.9v/piece; the floating charge conversion current reaches 0.3-0.4a/piece; and the floating charging voltage reaches 14.0-14.4v/piece.

③ Check whether there is drying phenomenon inside the battery, that is, whether the battery is seriously short of liquid.

④ The plates should also be checked for vulcanization. The irreversible sulfation of the electrode plate can be preliminarily judged by qn-1000 (generally the discharge detection is below 6V) and then tested with a capacity detector. Generally, irreversible sulfation occurs when the discharge time is less than 50% of the specified capacity. In addition, during charging, the voltage of the battery rises very fast, some cell voltage is particularly high, which exceeds the normal value a lot; when discharging, the voltage drops very fast, and the battery does not store electricity or has little power. If the above situation occurs, it can be judged that the battery has irreversible sulfation.

2. Inspection and treatment of faults

Connect all parts of the circuit firmly. If the charger is abnormal, it must be replaced. If the cell is dry, pure water should be added for pulse repair.

It is better to control the voltage of three batteries above 13.4v/battery. If the voltage difference between batteries is more than 0.3V, vulcanization will continue to occur in the process of use due to asynchronous. Therefore, we should pay special attention to the problem of battery matching after repair (especially the users of electric motorcycle battery), and those that need to be replaced must be replaced!
